Publish date: 2024-06-21

There is no denying that Pauley Perrette and Michael Weatherly helped make NCIS the show it is today. But after Weatherly and Perrette both found themselves embroiled in controversy after leaving America’s #1 drama, fans have been wondering if Perrette and Weatherly are still friends.

Weatherly, who left NCIS to star in the series, Bull, came under fired after his co-star Eliza Dushku accused him of sexual harassment. Dushku claims that Weatherly made inappropriate comments while filming. CBS paid her $9.5 million after she departed the series.

After the sexual harassment scandal made headlines, Weatherly released a statement apologizing for his actions. He also told fans that his comments were intended to be made in a joking manner and that he never intended to make Dushku feel uncomfortable.

He also revealed that he immediately apologized to Dushku as soon as she told him that his comments made her feel uncomfortable. He regrets saying anything that caused pain to his co-star and knows now that it was not funny.

Perrette could have easily criticized Weatherly once the scandal hit, but she opted to support him instead. Taking to Twitter, the former NCIS star told fans that she loves and respects Weatherly and does not believe in the accusations.

“This man… I love, respect, trust, and I KNOW. TWO decades of friendship and respect,” she stated. “The best. I love you @M_Weatherly Always and forever.”

Weatherly, meanwhile, thinks that Perrette will be back on the small screens soon. The actor, who played the part of Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo on NCIS, told reporters that Perrette will be back on television and that all of her friends miss her dearly.

Perrette has not accepted any TV roles since leaving NCIS last year. Instead of diving back into another role, the actress has been using social media to promote causes close to her heart, including entering the realm of politics.
