EastEnders' Saskia Duncan actress is unrecognisable 23 years after soap exit and has new completely

Although Saskia Duncan was only in EastEnders for a short amount of time she made a massive impact and certainly left her mark. If we rewind the clock back to December 1998 when Saskia arrived in Walford as Steve Owen's (Martin Kemp) tormented ex-girlfriend.

E20 nightclub owner Steve had fallen in love with resident blonde bombshell Melanie (Tamzin Outhwaite) and Saskia’s jealousy became unbearable as she hounded Steve with heavy threats and hysterical outbursts. Of course, Saskia soon realised that winding up her notoriously hard-faced ex-lover was a huge mistake as he eventually murdered her in one of the most memorable EastEnders deaths of all time.

On Valentine’s Day in 1999, Saskia tried to strangle Steve after dropping the bombshell that she’d had an abortion. During the violent domestic, Steve’s right-hand man Matthew Rose (Joe Absolom) ran in and hurled himself on the crazed woman before Steve then whacked her over the head with an ashtray, killing her instantly.

Steve and Matthew buried her body in Epping Forest, which was later discovered by police. However, in a twist of events, Steve then framed Matthew for the murder, as they had both been in the room when Saskia died.

Following her time on EastEnders actress Deborah Sheridan-Taylor landed roles in Holby City, Casualty, Birds of a Feather, and Doctors.

But more than two decades on from her soap exit, Deborah, who played gorgeous blonde Saskia, is now unrecognisable. The former soap star now has long blonde locks after ditching her short curls, along with her trademark red lipstick.

The 54-year-old has also reinvented herself as a woman of business. The mum-of-two is now a personal stylist and interior designer and is running her own company, still looks as glamorous as ever.

Showcasing her talent, Deborah's Instagram is a colourful grid of inspiring fashions, from high street stores to vintage assembles and more - she has it covered.

She also styles popular celebrities including Sheridan Smith for a recent appearance on The One Show, and former EastEnders co-star Tamzin Outhwaite, who played Mel Owen.

EastEnders airs on BBC One every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7.30pm.
