'Me Before You' Trailer Storms Social Media
The official trailer for Me Before You has already touched the hearts of thousands across the globe. The upcoming movie is based on Jojo Moyes’ heartwrenching novel and is set to be released some time in the summer of 2016.
Even though the trailer has only been out for a little under 24 hours, it has already caused a social media frenzy. The link is being actively shared throughout all platforms(Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), because the two minute trailer captured the story of two individuals well enough that potential viewers felt the need to share their desperateness. The storyline definitely grasped our full attention.
Louisa Clark, played by the beautiful Emilia Clarke, is desperate for a job after failing at all her past positions. She lands a gig as a “caretaker and companion for a disabled man.” William Traynor, played by the handsome Sam Claflin, is the paralyzed man she is set to take care of.
Although the trailer doesn’t spoil the entirety of the movie, it is revealed that William did not plan to live any longer than six months; But upon meeting Louisa, he confesses:
You are pretty much the only thing that makes me want to get up in the morning.
Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph” beautifully captures the development of Louisa’s and William’s relationship during the trailer. The two definitely learn to make sacrifices and give and take. There’s a possible happy ending for the two hidden somewhere within each other. Did they end up getting that happy ending? We’re not quite sure, but we will definitely be buying tickets to the premiere to find out.
If the trailer alone tugs at the heartstrings of those who watch it, we cannot imagine how powerful the full length production will be.
