According to a spokesperson for the couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are required to go through a one year long trial period before all the details of their royal departure are actually finalized. Furthermore, it was also revealed that this trial period is set to start on March 31st!

What that means is that while the so-called ‘Megxit’ is only a bit over a month away, it might not be permanent.

The spokesperson dished via Sky News that the Duke and Duchess ‘have agreed to an initial 12-month review to ensure the arrangement works for all parties.’

Furthermore, they will no longer have an office at the palace and they will be represented by their United Kingdom foundation starting with the first of April, and no, it’s not a prank!

During this trial/transition period, Harry and Meghan will no longer use their royal titles but that is not to say that they won’t still have them.

Their other titles of Earl and Countess of Dumbarton as well as Baron and Baroness Kilkeel will also still continue to be theirs in the trial year to come.

The pair is also expected to attend no more and no less than six royal engagements before they leave the royal family.
